Playing Jordan Goldman - The Screenplay
Independent company Silver Lining Film Group based in New York City, is underway in producing the screenplay version of Playing Jordan Goldman. Though the "...Goldman" story was conceived as a film, it was first written as a play by David Neiman entitled A Coat Tale. The title was later changed to The Jordan Goldman Bar Mitzvah Sting.
Through multiple public and private readings by several Broadway actors such as Barrett Foa (Avenue Q), Daniel Reichard (Jersey Boys), Sarah Saltzberg (The 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee), and Jessie Tyler Fergeson (The 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee, and the ABC TV hit series Modern Family), the stage play underwent an adaptation to a screenplay in 2009 when David Neiman's older brother Andy came on board.
"So much was fleshed out in this process," says David Neiman, "it was decided that the best way to bring the story back to the stage was as an adaptation of the screenplay."
